Hey, my group and I just started playing Light and we have been enjoying it a ton! But we had a question about the powers. Are we supposed to roll when we use powers? The way they are worded we weren't sure. We are not sure if we missed a page on it.
So I ran a one-shot for my little brother today who had a blast and might GM this for his school's D&D club as a result. This speaks volumes of how approachable this system is.
We we're curious about the Resurrection with Light and getting Shade once we were done playing though. Does a Beacon need a point of light to resurrect since it is fully restored upon being resurrected?
Regardless though we had a ton of fun and are looking to do more games.
Why are there 3 weapon spots on the character sheet? If I read the rules right you start the game only able to use one gun. Then there is a single upgrade to gain an extra weapon. This only lets a player use 2 weapons. Am I missing something? Thanks
As it says on page 55, Beacons bring 2 weapons with them on missions. You just start with 1, so you need to go get your second. And then you can take the advance that lets you bring a third.
This game has been amazing. It reminds me so much of the early days of John Harper's Danger Patrol, in it's simplicity and ability to get the action going right away. Now that I have my physical copy, I'm going to be demoing it at my game store to show my customers some of the wider world of RPG!

Any advice for making more tags and legendary weapons?
Also, any chance this'll get a lumen 2.0 upgrade?
Hi, its possible to have a community copies?

So glad your enjoying it!
For powers, no rolling, they just happen when you spend the light!
Thank you so much!

You need the point before you die, so that you can resurrect. If you die without a point of light left, you die.
Hope that helps!
That it does! Thank you!

I miss that. Thanks.
By the way, my siblings and I have been playing a lot of Rune and it is a great game.
That's awesome to hear!

Thank you so much for the kind words and support! I can't wait to hear how it goes with people at your store!
In the Beacon (Spreads):
Shiver has "Kindling (Passive)" listed under them, although the ability is different than Pyros.
@GIla RPGS - I think this is a real easy fix!
p48 of (pages) download, and p25 of (spreads) download both list Shiver as having "Kindling (Passive)" as the name.
As usual, the work here is impeccable. It's incredible to see Light take on its own identity as Nova did. Eager to run this for my band of misfits.
Thank you so much for the kind words, you absolutely made my day! Enjoy the game!
Quick question: on p.40 on the description of Diminish it says "Decay is removed afterward". To what does decay refer in that context?
It is meant to say Diminish
LIGHT is an awesomely frantic, high-stakes, fast-paced TTRPG, and this updated edition outdoes the original tenfold. AMAZING ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Thank you so much Aaron!
It's been a long two years, and I'm glad to see LIGHT in its definitive form! My favorite new addition is the enemy faction effects.
Thank you! Yeah I think the faction effects add a fun puzzle dynamic to combat.
Been waiting for this! The art looks lovely! Looking forward to running games with it.
Thank you so much! MajorUrsus really did an incredible job with the Beacon art!
Hell yes! I love Light and the Lumen system, I can't wait to check this out!
