Dragon Slayers Quick Start
A downloadable quick start
**Follow and share the Dragon Slayers Kickstarter page**
Dragon Slayers is an upcoming fantasy TTRPG designed by Spencer Campbell of Gila RPGs. The game takes the award winning Slayers system and brings it to a high fantasy setting.
Get everything you'd want from a fantasy game, but with innovative mechanics. The perfect off-ramp for your forever 5e group to step into the world of indie RPGs.
Quick Start
This is a quick start and so is a very incomplete version of the game. There is no art, editing, or professional layout found in this PDF. Not all of the rules of the final game are represented here. Hopefully you get an idea of what Dragon Slayers is all about. A nice bite before the full meal.
Kickstarter
Dragon Slayers is coming to Kickstarter later this year! Our goal is to have most of the game ready before launch so we have a quick turnaround. Make sure to follow and share the KS page to help us have an explosive first day!
Asymmetry
In Dragon Slayers each class uses entirely unique mechanics during combat, allowing you to really stand out with your character. Held together with the "Rule of 4+", players can choose the class that fits their desired complexity and playstyle, all while playing the same game with their friends.
Built on Slayers
Dragon Slayers uses the award winning rules of Slayers as a foundation. There are some deviations from the original rules, though, so don't worry about needing to be familiar with Slayers in order to play Dragon Slayers. It is a self-contained complete game.
If you want to see what Slayers is all about, you can find it here. There is also a bundle to grab all of the Slayers releases at a discounted price.

Looking at the rogue, one of their advances is “Increase Speed Die to d8.” But it already starts with a d8 Speed?
Yeah that's a typo!
I grew up on high fantasy novels, and will never tire of trying out new high fantasy games, especially those made by single creators or indie teams, to try and capture some of that magic. I daresay the Slayers system will be a great way to play out the fast-paced action of Drizzt and Wulfgar, Farideh and Havilar. Looking forward to a larger release (hopefully with more classes)!
I hope you enjoy it! There will definitely be many more classes in the full release.
